Record both envelopes
Record the part’s bounding dimensions and the printer’s usable area. Keep units consistent. This worksheet compares rectangles only; it does not know the printer’s clipped corners, excluded zones, toolhead clearance, or the actual model shape.
Include the surrounding work
A brim, support, purge feature, or several parts may occupy more area than the model alone. Inspect the complete plate in your own slicer. Rotating a rectangle in this simple planner is a useful first check, not proof that an actual printer can complete the job.
Make changes deliberately
If the part does not fit, check whether the creator provides a split or smaller version. Scaling affects all dimensions, including holes and mating surfaces. Write down the reason for any change so a fit problem is not accidentally traded for an assembly problem.
