Original project

Mete’s indexed model listing describes a 56 × 56 mm color swatch with a 1 mm overall height and 12 mm labels. Use the original design and current instructions for its detailed features.

Make the label useful

Record the brand, material name, color, and a reference to the spool. A physical swatch is most useful when you can identify which remaining material produced it. Keep special finish names separate from the base polymer type.

Keep comparisons fair

Use a consistent reference setup when comparing colors. Note the lighting in which you judge the samples and avoid assuming a screen photograph will match the printed color exactly. Use short remaining lengths only when you can load and feed them reliably.
